Trail: Tripyramids via North - South Slide and Livermore

Date Hiked: 6/11/06

Conditions: Livermore Road was clear and easy walking. Going up North Slide was steep, wet, slippery and very dangerous. (There oughta be a sign, it doesn't look that steep on the map) North Slide is also very poorly marked and very narrow from the top of the slide to the summit. Coming down the South slide was very loose but dry. Very glad I didn't go down North.

Special Required Equipment: If your going to go up North I would bring real mountaineering equipment, ropes, pitons, snap links, etc. To dangerous otherwise, especially when wet.

Comments: Very few people out today considering it is the middle of June. Met one group on the top of North who smartly came up the Scaur Ridge trail. Stream crossing were all doable but at least one went over the top of my boots. Summits were clouded over so only minimal views today. Oh, and somewhere at the bottom of the North Slide, if it survived bouncing off all the rocks, is a Nagelene bottle.
