Trail: Mt. Moriah via Carter-Moriah

Date Hiked: 09JUL06

Conditions: Only one wet spot on the trail however the bog bridges that cover it are pretty much rotted away. Creative hopping will still get you across dry though. Lower half of trail is smooth, rockier further up. Great views from ledges.

Special Required Equipment: Time. Should have stayed on summit and enjoyed the views instead of trying to cram in a second peak today.

Comments: My original plan was to do the whole Carter range but my car spot overslept. Finsihed Moriah by 1pm and didn't want to waste the day. I had a hair brained scheme of bagging at least a few Carters by starting up 19 Mile Brook and then bushwacking to Imp to create a loop. Well, I never found Imp. Came back via Cowboy Brook and got eaten alive. Blackflies are out late this year. Oh, and there is one OR Crocidile gaiter somewhere between 19 Mile and Imp.
