Trail: Moosilauke via Beaver Brook

Date Hiked: 21OCT07

Conditions: The entire trail was at least a little wet the entire day. A bit of mud down low and in the saddle between Mt. Blue and the summit. The wetness made the rocks a little slippery but most of the trail is in good shape with nice wood steps and rock staircases.

Special Required Equipment: I was glad I brought my gaiters. Gloves and jacket required for summit due to wind.

Comments: Awesome day! Chilly in the morning and very windy on top but not a cloud in the sky. No one on the trail in the morning, about dozen on the summit and passed over a dozen more on the way down. Color is mostly gone, some yellows left. Lots of water in the cascades.

Signs don't lie.

Recent rains filled the streams.

Beutiful cascades along most of the trail.
