Trail: Lafayette + Lincoln via Falling Waters and Old Bridle Path Date Hiked: 6/18/06 Conditions: Trails were perfect. No blown downs, no ice, no mud to speak of. Stream crossings all easy, nothing deeper than my boots. Special Required Equipment: None. Comments: Trails were busy but I expected more. Only saw one person on the way up to Little Haystack. The ridge was pretty busy with maybe two dozen people on the summit of Lafayette and another dozen at the hut. Very hazy weather, Cannon was blury and you could barely make out South Kinsman. Mostly just house flies on little Haystack but by the time I got to Lafayette they received reinforcements from some kind of small black fly. Even the Summit was a little warm today.
