Trail: Carrigain via Signal Ridge Trail Date Hiked: 29JUN06 Conditions: Some muddy spots down low, most had dried up by the return trip in the early afternoon. A few bugs at the start but went away by the time I reached the summit and they did not return. Otherwise trail was clear and easy to follow. Special Required Equipment: Water, very humid today. Comments: Hit the trail at 7:30 spent a good 45 minutes on the summit and did not see anyone until the return trip. Maybe 30 people and 3 dogs total. Busy. At least one person was finishing thier 48. Great day and a great mountain to do it on, hope I am as lucky. Views on the summit were spectacular. Mt. Washington was clouded over and I think a shower blew through at some point but I missed it. 35/48 |
